Meet and Greet with Mr. Gene Kranz - Legendary NASA Flight Director

Tuesday, June 26th, 2012
5:00pm - 6:00pm

NASA Johnson Space Center's Mission Control Room

As an extremely exciting opportunity, we received the chance to meet Mr. Gene Kranz, the legendary flight director of the Apollo missions.

Mr. Kranz was most known for the Apollo 13 mission, which he successfully controlled from the control room in Houston.

If you've ever heard the line, "Houston, we have a problem"... Mr. Kranz is Houston.

In the movie Apollo 13, Mr. Kranz is played by Ed Harris.

We were able to sit right in that control room and listen to Gene Kranz describe his own experience and feelings during the Apollo missions, as well as learn about his job at NASA as a Flight Director.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event, and we were all very excited to have this opportunity.
